How CauseFound Editorial works
Official sources carry the facts. Structured data, fixed index rules, and conservative safety boundaries turn them into a publishable page.
Who publishes content
The publisher is CauseFound. CauseFound Editorial is responsible for selection, structure, and publication of the content. We do not claim a hands-on craft review when no qualified person has actually reviewed a page. A named expert review is only shown when it has taken place and can be documented.
Which sources may carry facts
Official user manuals, manufacturer support pages, product pages, and manufacturer-linked service documents take priority. Forums, comments, and videos can surface open questions. They do not prove a code meaning, model mapping, part compatibility, or safety instruction.
Every error-code page names its sources, the retrieval date, and the date of the last review. Statements apply only to the models and variants listed there.
How AI is used
AI helps extract and structure attested facts from approved sources. It can normalize model numbers, error codes, and symptoms and suggest clear wording. It may not fill gaps with guesses or invent unsafe repair steps.
The source remains the manufacturer document. The structured data file is checked against fixed rules. A page is only indexable when it has enough model fit, diagnostic value, provenance, and safety boundaries.
Where DIY ends
Work on mains voltage, gas, refrigerant, internal water circuits, and sealed assemblies is not taught as DIY repair. Missing certainty is not replaced by a seemingly simple step. When a safe final check is not possible, CauseFound points to a professional.
How corrections are handled
Reports are checked against model number, source, and the affected claim. A material change gets a new review date. Pure layout changes do not change the content date. Uncertain content can be set to noindex or removed entirely from a guide until resolved.
